70% of a human’s body is made of water. Some people drink gallons of water daily. It is a main part of what humans are as a species. Fun fact, most people are dehydrated. Humans can only go 2 days without drinking water. So, it’s important.
Have you ever thought of developing a connection with water? An idea of going with the flow, connecting to the part of us that is calm. Tranquility is so important!
Growing up, I was lucky to be taught how to swim. Good at everything except freestyling, I always feel so weird doing that. My dad was an amazing swim teacher. He even got me and my brother into the YMCA! Thats where my brother learned how to swim. I was in 12 feet waters at age 10. Every Wednesday. My connection to water was wonderful.
I’m someone who believes that water has a deeper meaning than we think. I believe that water is what makes humans what we are.
There are many forms of practice that involve connecting to the flow or moving like water. Thinking like water, developing a sense of knowledge of water is important as well.
My dad taught all kinds of people how to swim. He saved lives in the water. I’m so happy that he was able to experience that style of career. I’m thankful that my dad taught me the importance of water.
I’d lie if I said I didn’t think more of water, that the oceans are so deep that I have had a case of thalassophobia just thinking about those deep, deep sea creatures. I’d lie if I said I didn’t ever try to move like water. I think that there were a few times in my life that I wanted to really connect. When I’m at lakes, beaches and rivers, I always dip my feet in and I have the strongest desire to connect with the water, the waves, the tides.
I love watching how the waves seem to rock back and forth against the shore, in peaceful ways and even sometimes more; loud, boat rocking waves in the background further than the shoreline; right at the horizon. Sometimes I see boats in the background.
I love water. I hope to connect to it in many different ways.
